During the 3rd  Mountain Livestock Farming Systems Meeting (https://mlf2024.eaap.org/) co-organised by VetAgro Sup and INRAE in Clermont-Ferrand (France) on 5/7 June 2024, some results of INTAQT were presented by

  • Bruno Martin (INRAE) during his introductory talk of the “Product quality and mountain farming” session; The opportunities and challenges of the concept of One Quality were discussed with attendees;
  • Rennie Eppenstein (FiBL – Switzerland) who presented the Living Lab with the Swiss beef farmers who are searching for genotypes adapted to the extensive fattening of beef-on-dairy crosses on pasture;
  • Eléa Caumette-Bailly (INRAE – FiBL) who discussed the first results on the “Variation of animal welfare in dairy European farms between lowland and mountain areas”;
  • and finally Lucille Rey-Cadilhac (INRAE) who commented a poster in which she simulated the effects of switching from a corn-based to a grass-based forage system on the contribution of dairy products to the human nutritional requirements.
