Scientific topics closely aligned with the INTAQT project have recently been presented to a wide public audience through two French national television programmes focusing on poultry production systems and meat quality.
Both programmes feature Cécile Berri, researcher and member of the INTAQT Consortium, who explains how different chicken production methods influence meat quality. Her contributions reflect core research questions addressed within INTAQT, particularly the relationship between farming practices, product quality, and consumer-relevant characteristics.
The first programme, “Produits fermiers, à boire et à manger” (France 5), explores the quality of farm products and includes a segment dedicated to poultry meat. The programme discusses how production systems can affect meat quality, a topic directly linked to INTAQT research activities.

The second programme, “Les petits secrets du roi du poulet”, is part of the investigative series Complément d’enquête broadcast on France 2. This episode examines intensive poultry farming practices and broader challenges within the sector. While INTAQT is not explicitly mentioned by name, the programme refers to a large European research project, and several of the scientific themes discussed are closely aligned with INTAQT’s objectives and findings.

These media appearances help bring scientific knowledge to the public, highlighting the importance of research-based evidence in discussions around poultry production systems, meat quality, and transparency across the food chain, key priorities of the INTAQT project.
