The INTAQT Final Scientific Conference will bring together researchers, livestock industry representatives, policymakers and other stakeholders in Hamburg and online. After five years of collaborative European research on cattle and poultry production, the project’s final findings will be presented.

The conference will showcase scientific evidence and practical tools developed by the INTAQT project to support livestock systems that can deliver high-quality animal products while addressing environmental, economic and societal challenges.

A central focus of the event will be the concept of “multiperformance”, exploring whether livestock systems can achieve high standards in product quality, sustainability and resource use efficiency simultaneously. Researchers will present results covering nutritional value, sensory characteristics, health and safety aspects of milk, beef and chicken meat, stakeholder engagement, and approaches for assessing farm sustainability across value chains.

The programme will also include demonstrations of innovative decision-support tools developed within the project, including authentication and prediction methods, a multicriteria scoring framework and a dedicated platform designed to facilitate the evaluation of livestock production systems.

Particular attention will be given to the role of stakeholder participation and Living Labs approaches in co-creating solutions with farmers, industry actors and other value-chain participants. These approaches have been instrumental in ensuring that scientific developments respond to practical challenges faced by the livestock sector.

Hosted at the CCH – Congress Centre Hamburg (Room Y3) and accessible online, the conference offers an opportunity for participants to discuss the implications of the project’s findings and their contribution to the transition towards more resilient livestock systems.
