The 9th International Conference on the Welfare Assessment of Animals at Farm Level (WAFL) will take place in Florence on August 30-31, 2024.

This is the first in-person WAFL conference since 2017, following a successful online event in 2021.

Organized in collaboration with the Health and Welfare Commission of the European Federation of Animal Science (EAAP), WAFL 2024 will feature two days of focused sessions, poster presentations, and a Delegate Forum on the future of Animal Welfare Science. The event includes a conference dinner on August 30th.

Attendees can also join the 75th EAAP Annual Meeting in Florence from September 1-5, which will offer additional sessions on farm animal health and welfare, involving various scientific disciplines.
